DARE I CALL IT MY MISSION

I have always had a tendency to do everything in excess, and maximalism is my way of life. I live in a world of overfilled glasses, bags, and drawers; and when I find a new treasure I love, you might as well clear a path, and a space for it to exist, because I’m equally as determined, as I am obsessed, to secure it. I often blame this tendency on my roots being that of the Big Easy, New Orleans, but I know that is only a piece of it.

 

This is my written journey, a journey of self reflection-- the navigation and examination the things that are so abundant, and special to me in life, and perhaps in this process, I will find a bit of self control.

I want to squeeze the MOST out of every moment of my day, whether it be who, what, or how it’s being spent. I am committed to showing up as my best self, setting expectations and boundaries with others, taking up the space I deserve, not reducing my size to make others comfortable, participating, engaging, and thriving while guarding and protecting myself from harm. AND I will approach all of this with the same gusto as I pour champagne, which 200% of the time is poured too fast and with too much & overflowing.
